The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) supports youth and community services through contracts with a broad network of Community-Based Organizations (CBO) throughout New York City. Our central task is administering available city, state, and federal funds to a wide range of innovative, practical and quality programs that positively impact youth and communities. DYCD’s Out of School Time (OST) program, one of the largest afterschool systems in the country, supports the City’s education and social service reforms through a coordinated system of more than 450 programs serving more than 58,000 young people attending New York City public and private schools. DYCD is seeking to hire a Project Manager to provide leadership and management to the OST Mentoring Program. The initiative is a special project supported under the City of New York Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO) as part of the City’s Young Men’s Initiative. It will provide opportunities for young people attending DYCD’s OST Programs to participate in structured, small group mentoring.
